Interviews
Eight interviews were conducted with students from China. Each interviewee was informed of the purposes of the research. The questions of interest were:
What were the most difficult challenges you faced your first year at Emory?
Why did you choose Emory?
Do you think you are at an advantage when compared with people who stayed in China to complete their secondary education?
What do you think you have gained personally from this experience?
The information gathered from the interviews can be broken down into three categories:
1) Initial Challenges
2) Academic Benefits
3) Personal Development
